i strip away the poetic glaze
and enter you in the face
(the way i see it
if our separate eyes
ever were
to colossally collide)
i know that lightrays
may be chased
to a quiet place
2000 miles away
so i will be the ray
of moonbitten light
balletting my toes
across the roads
of long long nose
as you sleepily close
your two drooping doors
that lead to those green
caves of yours
knowing that
within them lies
an igloo of insights
in a slumber of stars
with a drizzle built by
love-shaped warmth
bridging backwards
into the marvel of night
striving to soul-climb
with lover right beside
dozing downwards
into childhood flight
will i glow
smooth enough
to flow
straight inside?
to pass through
the crevice
between
those locked lids
of your eyes?
will my feet
be steeped deep
into your heaping
dreams?
because distance is
evaded
only so many times
and sleep will be
the only key
to unlock the cottage
of tangibility
where
you are my only --
Escape Velocity
now i shall leap
into shoulder-deep sleep
dreams will be new
and will be hoping
to coalesce with you.

This is probably one of the most poetic and powerful piece of poetry in this piece! It's brilliant...I love it!!

Poetry connects people who are faraway, and that is one of the most beautiful things about it.

I love the extended metaphor of the eyes. It's pretty difficult to do, generaly, without sounding obscure or cheesy and hilarious and cliche, but I think you did it perfectly
