i strip away the poetic glaze
and enter you   in the face
                      (the way i see it
                       if our separate eyes
                       ever were
                       to colossally collide)

i know that lightrays
may be chased
                     to a quiet place
                                                     2000 miles away
so i will be the ray
of moonbitten light
balletting my toes
across the roads
of long long nose

as you sleepily close
your two drooping doors
that lead to those green
                         caves of yours

knowing that
within them lies
         an igloo of insights
         in a slumber of stars
                            with a drizzle built by
                            love-shaped warmth
                  bridging backwards
                  into the marvel of night
         striving to soul-climb
         with lover right beside
dozing downwards
into childhood flight

will i glow
smooth enough
to flow
straight inside?

to pass through
the crevice
between
those locked lids
of your eyes?

will my feet
be steeped deep
into your heaping
dreams?

             because distance is
                          evaded
              only so many times

                          and sleep will be
                          the only key
                          to unlock the cottage
                          of tangibility

                                      where
                                              you are my only --
                                                                          Escape Velocity

now i shall leap
into shoulder-deep sleep
dreams will be new
and will be hoping
                 to coalesce with you.

"Escape Velocity" -- July 2nd, 2006 \ 12:21 A.M | Edit: July 2, 12:24 p.m | 1 hour
Previously titled "Genes of Dreams."

Yesterday night was beautiful.

I wrote this on my bed, which is 2000 miles away from his.

Before I went to sleep.

We may only trully touch in dreams.

Note: This style of poetry is one that I've been attempting and trying to write in for the past five months. This was the only time I succeeded.
I took off the word-makeup and wrote something simpler, for once, finally.

i can relate only because my love too is across the country and very far away. i'm more than glad to have him but it's those little things i need more. great poem.

This is probably one of the most poetic and powerful piece of poetry in this piece! It's brilliant...I love it!!

thank you. I'm glad I wrote something that others can relate to.

Poetry connects people who are faraway, and that is one of the most beautiful things about it.

Pretty, pretty words. Makes me want to fall in love.
I love the extended metaphor of the eyes. It's pretty difficult to do, generaly, without sounding obscure or cheesy and hilarious and cliche, but I think you did it perfectly :)
