Polar Pear in a Crystal Bowl 8.5" X 9" | graphite & prismacolor pencils | many hours
A still life based on observation. This was in my AP quality portfolio for 2-D Design this year. I plan on doing a lot more of these still lifes with multiple glass and ceramic objects tumbling down through the air.
I dont even know how you managed to do those amazing patterns in the glass.
Good job with the colors of the pair, and where the light hits the pair, and comes off of it onto the glass.
prismas! I should snatch a pack from my art room before school ends <<
i recently got a pack of 120 prisma color pencils and it made me sooo gosh-darn happy. WHEEEE!
yeah, definately snatch a pack from the art room. I do that all the time. or... if you ever decide you need your own... go to Office Depot because they always sell the cheapest prismacolor pencils I've seen. As schools usually only have 24 colors. They work well with regular graphite pencils... and I've seen my art teacher use them on top of acrylic paint on canvases... yuppa.
Probably one of my most favorite mediums. Oil paint is great too, but it's more difficult to make really intricate details with paint brushes than the thin tips of colored pencils.
yay. how's your art life?
is school out for you?

oh damn i'm too late. however i checked out the art room of my new school and it is literally 3 times larger than my one now and its SWEET 20 pottery wheels and massive massive jars of paint and 3 meter wide canvases i was peeing my pants

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
